Why Men Marry Bitches by Sherry Argov || Book Recommendations Series

Book 1: Why Men Marry BITCHES by Sherry Argov

Dear Readers,

I have had many many many people write to me to ask for which book should they pick up next and that’s the trigger point begind this series.

Every week I will be posting about a book I have read in the past and enjoyed a lot. I strongly believe in ‘investing time’ to read a particular book so picking up a book that adds zero value to my life is a pet peeve of mine. I am of the school of thought that we must read in oder to grow ‘cause when we read a good book, we learn from the author’s experiences which is great, isn’t it?

Here are my intentions behind doing this series of book recommendations->

#1. I want you all to pick up books that have helped me become perhaps one of the most positive persons in the world. Those who know me personally, know how insanely optimistic my approach in life is. I always see the glass half full. 🙂

#2. I want you all to read more because it’s the best hobby one can pursue.

#3. I want you to read at least one book every month so that your perception shifts and you are able to look at life from a fresh new persepctive. Those who don’t read much often look at life from their bubble, their shell.

#4. Reading helps you gain knowledge, awareness about topics you probably had no flying clue about. A lot of hard work, reserach and patience goes behind writing a book and as a reader we can take advantage of all the research a writer has put in, right?

#5. Reading helps you get wiser than your age. You learn more at a much younger age, your learn from somebody else’s success & shortcomings without having to go through “stuff”. Isn’t that a blessing in itself?

So, without further ado, let’s crack on with the book recommendation number 1!

The Maven Lifestyle

WHY MEN MARRY BITCHES by Sherry Argov

Now, don’t judge this book by it’s title. It’s the coolest book you will ever read. I picked up this book back in 2014 when I was open & excited to get married.

A mind with limited beliefs would judge the 2014 version of Aakansha for picking a book like so.

But, one really needs to chill, go on a judgement detox diet and read the contents of this book to know why it’s so awesome.

This book encourages women to be themselves unapologetically. It busts all myths around women feeling the need to showcase themselves as a domestic goddess to look more marriage appropriate. Sherry has very smartly busted myths in every chapter thus trying to make the reader courageous and free.

She speaks a ton about women who work…

She teaches that women who are financially independent are definitely way more attractive because they don’t give that ‘desperate’ vibe that shouts,

‘please marry me and take care of my needs & wants’.

This book aims to empower women to stop hiding their true self to look ‘society appropriate’ which is misleading and limiting!!!

The Maven Lifestyle

Sherry shares opinions of men on the kind of women ‘they’ love being around

as well as 75 Relationship Principles.

I am going to list my favourite principles below.

She’s explained all the principles along with myths and perspectives of various men…

My favourite principles are-

# In romance, there’s nothing more attractive to man than a woman who has her dignity and pride in who she is.

# He doesn’t marry a woman who is perfect. He marries the woman who is interesting.

# Don’t believe what anyone tells you about yourself.

# When a man sees you wear very revealing clothes, he will usually assume you don’t have anything else going on for you.

# Men see how you dress, and then make assumptions about your relationship potential.

# Men are turned on by women who care about their own pleasures as well.

# You can tell how much someone respects you by how much he respects your opinion. If he doesn’t respect your opinion, he won’t respect you.

# He doesn’t want to marry a helpless little girl whom he will have to take care of.

# Men don’t judge how much money you have. They notice how you budget what you have.

Now tell me, aren’t these awesome?

But you know what’s more awesome??

The psychological explanation of these and the fact that there are 75 such principles in this book!!!

This book is for you if >>>

# you are looking for a push to show your real self to your (potential) partner,

# you are planning to get married any time soon,

# you are ready to date,

# you are already married and looking at ways to get the spark up & about again,

# you have been dating for a while and thinking of getting ‘settled’!

Do pick up this book and gift it to a person you think can benefit a lot from it. It really is an awesome & empowering read.

Love & Light,

A

Happy Reading.

Personally, I am not very drawn towards the relationship genre of books but I can’t wait to see which other books you will recommend.

    Awesome initiative.
One never understands what the book is about just by reading a small brief at the back of the book. Reviews like these give direction and makes life easier.
But I also believe that one should not always have the perspective of learning. I f reading fiction relaxes you, so be it….

But this book looks awesome and I know people who need this book. Thats how this review helped me😁😁.
