Why is Melbourne ‘the place to be’ ?

Weather, no bar!

The Victorian Capital, Melbourne welcomed (my troop and) me with non-stop drizzles. Nevertheless, the spirits of exploring a foreign land didn’t allow meteorology to get to my swarming enthusiasm. On exploring the city, I realised how ‘new’ and organised it was. A well-planned city has its own perks! One of which being a big open armed welcome to all the major universities and colleges and not to mention the big guns.

Embracing yourself !

Any city that gives a welcoming vibe attracts people with open minds and bigger hearts. Exploring world’s greatest street art capitals, Melbourne allowed me to appreciate graffiti a lot more than I used to. Couture wise, people in this city are so innovative & forward that the word ‘fashion faux pas’ does not exist. Not running after brands and shaping their individuality is something that inspired the brand finicky brat in me to dress a little more liberally.

Your dream road trip awaits you in Melbourne.

One of the invigorating things about this city was the plethora of options for the voyagers. From art galleries, to eating joints to road trips: this Victorian city has it all. Nobody is too young or too old; too enthusiastic or too lazy to enjoy and LIVE MELBOURNE!
If you are to visit Melbourne, then one thing you HAVE to make room for is a road trip to the 12 Apostles! One of the world’s BEST ROADS, the Great Ocean Road is what will make a visit to this place worth your while. Hire a car, hit the road and allow the rest to be history.

Food is life!

Olives and Cheese
Being the foodie that I am, I never shy away from trying different cuisines and having seen people go cuckoo-cuckoo over ‘Greek food’, drove me to (thanks to my high school bestie, Jay Mc Chicken Rayalu) Stalactites, one of the coolest Greek restaurants in Melbourne. If you were to ask me, I would out rightly say that being in Melbourne and not visiting Stalactites would be committing a gastronomical sin!

Cheese lovers, don’t forget to gorge the feta cheese with olives that comes showered with extra virgin olive oil.
There’s so much to do in this ‘world’s most liveable city’ that a one-time visit would just not suffice. All in all, Melbourne is the place to be for anyone and everyone who wants life to amuse them…
…and in this day and age, aren’t we all just looking for that?

On the streets of Melbourne

Batman ain’t from Gotham city! He’s from Melbourne (Flying Foxes is quite a common sight here in the Summer months). Also, Melbourne was initially going to be called ‘Batmania’ after one of its founding fathers, John Batman!
