Hey Top Cats! How much of an inspiration did you get from my previous blog post?
Well, since I am always raving about the six letter word ‘travel’ and often use it synonymously with the five letter wonder “magic”… I thought I’d share with you the reasons behind my obsession!
Why Travel?
When we are exposed to a new way of life, we get inspired in more ways than one.
Here are my top 15 travel moments.
Scotland, UK
Leeds, UK
Having studied and stayed in Leeds for a year simply transformed the way I thought and looked at people, nature, experiences… life in general. From scoffing at chilling in the gardens to falling in love with ’em and rushing to one to jus’ veg out… Leeds inspired me to step OUT of my comfort zone and explore things and discover hidden fascinations about myself! Leeds always had (and am sure still does) an undeniable charm to it!
Having a total #takemeback moment now while writing this!

Chikmanglur, Karnataka
Speaking of stepping ‘out’ of comfort zones, booking a home stay was an unusual thing for me back in the day. I was unable to fathom how one could stay in somebody else’s home without any obligation but I was not just proven wrong, but also compelled to go head over heels with the concept of home stays. This is hands down the best way to introduce yourself to a new culture. Nothing beats this; truly! If you wish to read more on my experience here then visit
Beauty of ‘homestays’: The Maven Recommendation
Vattaikanal, Tamil Nadu
Rotorua, New Zealand
The animal lover in me will always remember NZ for feeding and having a serious chat with the Llamas. They can get quite clingy you know!
Australia
If you go to Australia and return without chilling with the kangaroos, then your trip to Australia is as significant as a myth. These creatures can be quite snooty btw but a fun experience nevertheless!!!
Gold Coast, Australia
For the longest time, I didn’t understand the fascination behind helicopter rides until I hopped on one myself. There are many ways to experience the beauty of a place and a helicopter ride hands down has to be the bestest! I wish to see every gorgeous city in the world on a chopper now! Ugh! Why do we explore such amazing things so late in life?
Maldives

This will always be the most special spot ‘cos I turned 26 here and understood myself so much better.

If given a chance to fly back to Maldives, I’d do it in a heartbeat. Maldives carries an undeniable pixie charm with itself and infinite opportunities to chill like a total villain!
The Great Barrier Reef, Cairns, Australia
I believe the word “chilling” was introduced to the English language after Cairns was explored. This city of Australia is a different world in itself. Words can not to justice to describe the beauty of this place.

Hope these snippets gave you that teeny tiny push/ inspiration you needed to book that trip you’ve been planning for the longest time now.
I believe this explains the theme around my wedding now.
