If you know me, you know really well how MUCH I love sharing small vignettes of my musings with you. This post combines a variety of things that struck a chord with me and shaped me into the person I am today. Hope you enjoy reading it as much I enjoyed writing it.
Train your body
“Life is all about bearing a bathroom slip”, says my diet guru, Rujuta Diwekar. I’ve grown up reading her books and trying to wrap my head around her super simplistic yet potent food philosophies. She always talks about how THE most intimate relationship we should have, must be with our food; YES! She also shuns all the gibberish myths around diet foods and getting a good work out in to simply lose weight. She always says, ‘work out and eat right so that your body can resist a bone fracture’.
The difference between a 10 year old slipping in the bathroom and a 40 year old is that, the former will try to resist the fall if not bear it unlike the latter who will most definitely fall and not just get injured physically but psychologically as well (low self confidence, sudden rush of feelings – “I am growing old”, “Why did this happen to me?”, “My life is overrrrr”, so on and so forth).
So, long story cut short, eat right and sweat it out to resist that ‘fall’. The idea is to ‘train’ your body/muscles that have a brain of their own; yeah, they do and it’s referred to as muscle memory.
Train your muscle to be your hero when you need it the most.
Train your mind
Ever heard of the famous quote –
Train your mind to see good in every situation…
Well that’s pretty much the key to success. If we master the art of appreciating that bad things happen to us to pave way for all the wonderful things, we are MORE than sorted.
Recently, my girl was not in her ‘best days’ and whilst our pep talk session, I enlightened her with a paradigm that helped me more than it helped her
(I guess).
Haha!
Gyaan time
Every time we see a road getting constructed(or reconstructed) i.e the WIP bit, what’s the first thing that catches our attention?
The mess, ruckus and a feeling that the muddle ahead will never clear up; yes?
We feel it’s only going to come in the way of our day to day deliverables.
Little do we know (at that given point) that the mess has occurred to pave way for a better route, a clearer road and smoother journey. 😊.
And it’s only a matter of time and this too shall pass.
There’s always always light at the end of the tunnel. All we gotta do is, hope and be patient.
Life is short. Someone very very special to me once told me –
“Life is short. Don’t take it too seriously. Eat yummy food, work out, read a lot and ‘maven it’!”
I’d like to add to this by saying, life is short and must only be lived with grace, doing things that make us happy.
Eat well. Drink lots of water. Have fruits & nuts (pun-not-intended). Work out. Read. Watch Inspiring videos…
And don’t let losers be mean to you!
Train your heart
We are a perfect amalgamation of the 5/6 people we surround ourselves with, which is why picking the right bunch of close friends, colleagues, even a potential partner can shape our lives and inspire us to find our ultimate purpose in life. Having said that, it’s imperative to understand the potential of ‘boundaries’. Of not having people come too close to our little heart so that they have all the power to call the shots.
Na-ah!
Build a wall, tell nobody. Love yourself the most and be happy.
Sometimes you gotta be your own hero and save your own little heart because the people you can’t imagine living without, can actually live without you.
.
.
And that my friend, blows!
Train your will-power
We all know that until and unless we have the power of our own will to achieve something or get somewhere, we won’t be able to live through the good and the bad days. Power of will comes from determination, which in turn draws energy from our state of mind. Always remember to keep going. Put your blinkers on and march forward.
Trust me, it ALWAYS helps!
Train your ego
Train yourself to not get bogged down by bad souls. Do away with the ego, not your esteem. No matter where you are, you will find people who would always want to pull you down and not be able to see you happy and successful.
They are NOT your people. Run as far away as you can from them.
Never allow people to breakthrough that wall I mentioned earlier.
If you manage to do that (have a strong wall built around your tiny little heart), nobody will ever put you in a position where you will feel that your ‘thunder is being stolen’.
Train your soul
Not too long ago, I got introduced to a book that changed my life. I was told about it at the time I was seeking some answers and was extremely curious to know about the things that happen at a much larger level.
I wanted to know the rules of the game in the larger scheme of things.
Laws of the Spirit World is a book that I follow like a religion and would recommend to one and all.
It instantly changed the way I thought and reacted to the situations around me. This book transformed me into believing that…
I don’t have a soul; I am a soul.
There are a lot of other books out there as well that hold the potential of transforming your life and adding purpose to your being. Feel free to hit the nearest book store and explore what attracts you …
Train to heal
We are all spiritual beings living a human experience.
This is often misunderstood which is why we need to know our calling and purpose to grow spiritually. Whilst on this self-discovering journey, we often get hurt, disturbed and jolted by not-so-great experiences that hold the power of making us or breaking us.
Regardless of the way we feel, we need to heal ourselves from time to time. If we don’t indulge in a healing session, we keep accumulating fear, anxiety, anger that results in insecurity and comes in the way of a blissful living.
I recently went for a beautiful healing session myself that did wonders on me and changed my life for the best.
Please feel free to get in touch with me to know more on this topic. All things confidential, of course.
A beautiful take-away
A video that will move you in ways you wouldn’t imagine.
Just plug in your earphones and dive into –
Life is no different than Harry Potter’s magical world.
We are all cut out from a very different cloth and have been blessed with qualities that are meant to help the ones around us. Some of us know our strengths whereas the others need a bit of magic to discover the same.
All we need to do is believe that there’s magic around and take charge of the magic wand- our (subconscious) mind.
I hope this post inspired you a little today and made you feel how lucky you are … to be where you are…
