World’s first conveyer belt burger joint deserves all the hype it gets because of its’
# 2 in 1 concept. Slider Station goes by the name of Cocoa Room, a chocolateire from 8 AM till about 11:30 AM post which it changes its entire menu and transforms into Slider Station.
# The ambience has been inspired by the concept of an American Gas Station from the ’40s.
# This industrial chic eatery specialises in sliders, tapas, grills, pancakes, etc. Basically, it has something amazing for everyone!
# The breakfast menu is to die for and comes in portions one can only dream of.
# The food is not just a feast to the eyes but to the taste buds as well. It’s practically impossible to step out of this space without overeating.
With a 4.7 on Zomato, this restaurant has a breakfast and dessert menu full of lip-smacking dishes. If you are a breakfast person, then this is a place you cannot afford to miss.
Best enjoyed with folks who are blessed with an appetite.
Must order –
Scrambled Egg Money Bags
Scrambled egg tossed in shaved black truffles, (roasted) macadamia nuts, parmesan and truffle oil.
When this dish arrived, we didn’t quite envision that the scrambled egg would literally come in an edible money bag. Needless to say, it was purrrfect.
It most definitely did justice to my appetite and satiety.
Wild Mushroom Benedict
Home croissant housing hollandaise sauce (Dutch sauce prepared with egg yolk & butter), shaved truffle and truffle oil. If you are a fan of mushrooms, then this is your (solid) poison.
Hit me Up Waffles
These jalapeño potato waffles come with poached organic eggs (yikes), pulled roasted chicken, bacon, cheddar showered with some chipotle hollandaise. This dish is synonymous with heaven (FYI) and is for someone who is blessed with a good appetite.
Also known for its’ pancakes, Cocoa Room has mastered the art of serving divine portions. That being said, it’s a sin stepping out of Cocoa Room without trying either of these
– Peanut Butter and Nutella Pancakes
– Oreo Midnight (Pancake)
Disclaimer: These are extremely heavy and may need (super loyal) assistance to finish up.
A bunch of things that I have in mind for my next visit:
– Mayan Hot Chocolate (Swiss chocolate with cinnamon)
– Saffron white hot chocolate
– Burrito Del Sol ( scrambled eggs, jack cheese, tortilla, etc. )
– Ninjawich (Sandwich) … slurrrrp.
Just in case you are wondering if I stayed back in Cocoa Room to try out the Slider Station food post brekkie, you are highly mistaken. I am a big foodie but I also believe in going easy on my tummy.
Especially if an eatery is overly generous with its’ food portions.
Here are a bunch of things I tried when Cocoa Room transformed into Slider Station
Raspberry Pina Colada
It’s absolutely amusing to experience such refreshing drinks at a restaurant that seriously specialises in food. What I loved about this drink was that it wasn’t as heavy and didn’t come in the way of our solid food appetite.
A 10/10 on the Maven Scoreboard.
If munching on fries is your thing, then you must head straight to Slider Station. Folks who love cheese and fries will thank me for this recommendation.
Cheddar jack and west coast sauce super generously showered on fries will BLOW YOUR MIND AWAY!
Kindly restrain from ordering this and disappointing yourself.
Signature Phuket Salad
R and I were the most excited ones on the table to try this dish. Why? You’ll know soon.
Anyway, this is one of the most scrumptious salads, I’ve ever tasted.
It’s definitely a must-have at Slider Station!
Sliders that cannot be missed…
Little versions of big fat burgers aka sliders are one of the best things to happen to the food industry. Slider Station, as mentioned earlier is one of the world’s first conveyer belt burger joint which implies, stepping out of this space without trying a minimum of 2 sliders is a crime. Every slider is a must-have which is why I wouldn’t recommend one or two.
But, if you insist
, I would strongly recommend crispy chicken slider, which is, buttermilk fried chicken with cheddar, pickles and mustard mayo.
Oh good Lord… #takemeback !!!
These pancakes showered with lotus sauce are truly a dream. These are so popular in Dubai that if you leave the city without trying (any) lotus dessert, there’s a chance that Dubai people might boycott you.
Just kidding! Do try this dessert when you are at Slider Station.
What I absolutely adore about this place is that they are always tweaking their menu and one will see new items every few weeks. Isn’t that thoughtful?
Did You know?
Slider Station is almost always full. If you get a seat (without waiting for 40 minutes) consider yourself very lucky. Which is why, reservation is highly recommended.
