I often go around saying that I was probably Chinese in my previous birth as a result of my vehement affinity towards Chinese food (which is is quite unbelievable).
That being said, I feel not all restaurants can do justice to this cuisine as it can be a tough one to crack.
How to make a dish just the right amount of bland yet scrumptious? 🤔
Boy, that could be
trickyform of art!
Well, let’s leave that to the pros. Nasi and Mee is a restaurant I spotted close to my house one fine evening and … that was it!
Its’ humoungous glass walls/windows showcasing the whole set-up along with the mind-blowing location (I choose to believe) has helped Nasi and Mee turn into a crowd puller of sorts. It has succeeded in making people at some point or the other walk-in to try out its’ palatable Pan-Asian delicacies.
When at Nasi and Mee, you MUST try-
Xiao Long Bao
One of it’s kind 😍, Xiao Long Bao is a dim sum that needs to sucked onto first to slurrrp the flavoured soup followed by eating up the whole of dim sum at one shot. The soup is hot, tasty and enclosed in a paper-thin wrapper (edible, of course- HaHa).
A must MUST try at N&M.
Szechuan Chilli Dumpling
This one’s a paradise for all the numb-tongued adventurers who love digging into hot and spicy delicacies. One of the finest dumplings I’ve ever had, this one will blow your mind if you are a heat seeker.
Cashew and Broccoli Dumpling
A part of the (seasonal) specials menu, this wonder was to die for; quite literally. It was so well prepared that I could taste just the right amount of cashew blanketed in broccoli.
An absolute delight!
PS… It’s very tough to find a dumpling with this kind of a combo.
Garlic Butter Fried Rice with Thai Green Curry
Hands down, this is one of the finest food combinations I’ve ever had. Rice tossed around in oodles garlic and butter and later savoured with a classic Thai curry rich in coconut milk, ginger, green chilli and galangal 👅!
It’s a sin stepping out of N&M without indulging in this ideal couple 😍!!!
N & M Nasi Goreng
An overly popular Malaysian fried rice flavoured with soya and chilli.
Adorned with fried egg, (chicken) satay, cucumber and keropok.
For the one’s with a BIG FAT appetite.
Please ensure that you get your dirty little hands on-
1. Blood on the Roof &
2. Red wine Sangria
And you can thank me later 😉
Fried (Chocolate) Ice-cream
Yeah it’s a chocolate ice-cream that is deep fried. It’s a fun dessert to gorge on as it is strictly advised to pop the whole of it in the mouth to experience the oozing chocolate ice-cream & … the works.
Nasi and Mee is a classic example of restaurants that have made a sincere effort to constantly improve their quality of food and seasonal offerings. I know for a fact that each time I go to this place, the food only gets better. This, I believe has helped them climb up the ratings and review on Zomato.
The Maven Score
DID YOU KNOW?
The hottest cuisine in India right now is the Pan Asian cuisine that is eating up all the market share of (what once we all called) Indo-Chinese food; provided the menu is engineered as per the region.
