Food Diaries from Istanbul

MAJOR FOODIE ALERT! THIS BLOG POST IS DEDICATED TO ALL THE GENUINE FOODIES & RESTAURANT REVIEWERS OUT THERE!

Now that we’re clear on what this blog post entails, let’s delve into what happened to our digestive system at Istanbul!

COST FOR TWO WILL SHOCK YOU

Perhaps it’s the fertile lands & rich agricultural practices that makes Turkey’s food pricing a shocker (as compared to the UAE)!

{ The husband and I pretty much went bonkers and made a huge list of restaurants we had to try in Istanbul and the rest is history well laid out in this blog post for you. }

Keep reading (no scrolling ONLY, please) to know about THE BEST PLACES TO DINE IN ISTANBUL. Please know that these are in no particular order and they’re all a 10/10 category so if you are planning to visit Istanbul, then try places which offer food based on your palate preference!

THE BEST PLACES TO DINE IN ISTANBUL

360 Istanbul

Ever wanted to dine at a penthouse sitting in a historical building that provides jaw dropping views plus lip smacking food???

Well, 360 IS THE PLACE TO BE AT ISTANBUL!

It commands a 360 breathtaking view of the city all the way up of St Antoine’s Church, across the Bosphorus strait to Hagia Sophia and out till the Sea of Marmara! Talk about orgasmic views, ahhh!

360 Istanbul offers modern Turkish mezzeh in fusion with international cuisine! It apparently turns into a happening club on the weekends. It’s elegant; it’s minimalistic and it’s not supposed to be missed out on, period!

Sunset Bar & Grill

Have you ever been to a place that has the nicest view, coolest crowd, heartwarming vibe but horrendous food?

Well, Sunset Bar & Grill is (in my opinion) one of the most happening places of Istanbul. The ambience and vibe of this place is to die for but the scrumptiousness of the food, not so much! I would highly recommend you to go here for drinks and chill though! Trust me, you will love it (sans food)!

Banyan

Banyan will always be that serendipitous restaurant that we (famjam and I) were coerced to attract into our reality.

*wink*

The ambience (oh the viewwwwww) , location, service and the quality of food makes me want to fly back to Istanbul once again. It blows my mind when a restaurant gets everything right! Their home-made bread served as a compliment along with the nicest & richest dip happens to famous among all its regular visitors.

Zuma, Istanbul

If you’re a regular on my blog, you’d know about my obsession with Zuma!

“ Zuma offers an informal yet sophisticated style of eating and drinking and, happens to be a comfort food restaurant for many. I was quite titillated both the times I visited Zuma ‘cos I (personally) found the vibe  of this place quite effortless and chic. Their contemporary twist to the Japanese cuisine is quite on point!

Zuma is perfect for date nights, business lunches, bestie dates and “let’s grab a drink at a snazzy bar” kinda plans.”

Rings a bell?

On spotting Zuma in Istanbul and that too at half the price (compared to Zuma, Dubai), husband & I swore to pay this amazinggg eatery a visit just after we shopped at Istinye Park (mall), Istanbul! A morning full of shopping and lunching at Zuma makes for a perfect start to the day, no?

You gotta check their ambience out!

Oh, and they have their own little botanical garden within the restaurant space from where they pluck the essential leaves to adorn & add flavor to some of their drinks! Cannot believe?

LPM

The Maven Lifestyle by Aakansha

LPM offers food that is result of a marriage between French Mediterranean cuisine and ‘influences’ of Ligurian France.

Known to make people cringe at the time of making a reservation at it’s Dubai & Paris location, LPM is synonymous with stellar food. Famous for its’ burrata and escargot (snail), this french wonder has a lot more to offer.

Once again, the humongous price difference motivated hubby and I to go here with the whole fambam! Yikes! Check out their gorgeous ambience, here!
