Spotting a need in the market and then putting that into business is a fundamental quality that any successful entrepreneur possesses; just like the Emirati entrepreneur, Hessa Al Qassim of Culinary Boutique (CB) who recognised Dubai’s need for a place that does justice to the foodies and cooking enthusiasts alike… and Culinary Boutique was born. This cute little space in the heart of Jumeirah, Dubaioffers meet-cute(s) of sorts. Be it a casual date, a private party or a corporate event, CB has room for it all.
Cooking School

CB has a cooking school of its own with two super welcoming state of art kitchen studios with fully equipped individual stations and a demonstration area where 100+ classes are conducted every year.
CB is known for its summer camp for kids where a chef conducts classes for kids of various age groups where the art of cooking is instilled in children at a very young age.

Now who wouldn’t want to learn cooking especially when the backdrop is so perfect and it’s taught like a thriving form of art that it is?!

Ambience

Speaking of the backdrop, I feel it’s my duty to enlighten you with the warm & cosy yet chill & chic vibe of this eatery-cum-cooking class.
You must follow them on Instagram for a regular dosage of virtual treat.
Trust me, you owe it to your eyes.

What to order?

Before I ramble on about its’ scrumptious grubs and drinks I’d want to tell you that CB happens to have a very well laid out menu that has the potential to kickstart your gastric juice secretion well before you place an order. Their fresh warm bread with flavoured hummus welcomes you into the world of delicacies.
Burrata & Beetroot Salad
This piece of art is the finest quality of cheese (aka Burrata) swimming around in some homemade pesto sauce, showered with Parmesan, beetroot and rocket leaves.
Being the biggest Burrata fan (probably on this planet) , I had to try this dish.
To be honest, I was hoping to get more of burrata and less of the rocket leaves. It’s a good option for people wanting to try Burrata to see how MUCH they end up liking this fresh Italian cheese made from mozzarella and cream.
Slurrrrrrp!
Za’atar Spaghetti
Marinated za’atar chicken with shitake mushroom drenched in Parmesan sauce.
This was one of the richest and creamiest dishes I have ever eaten.
For all the Spaghetti and chicken lovers out there, heaven is experienced in every morsel of Za’atar Spaghetti.
Lotus Milk Cake, the star dish.

Precisely the reason why I went to CB in the first place. I believe this is one of those desserts that words cannot merely describe. Infact writing about this is making me want to fly all the way to Dubai, just to indulge into this dessert. This lotus biscuit and condensed milk combination will BLOW YOUR MIND AWAY!
When in Dubai, Lotus Milk Cake must be given a go!
This is by far, one of the finest desserts I’ve ever eaten, ever being the KEYword here!
I would recommend Culinary Boutique to all the food enthusiasts out there and if I had even a slightest interest in cooking, I would definitely attend its classes for an experience… but I guess
not everything is for everyone.
CB deserves the Maven Score of
9/10.
