Raw Vegan Desserts

The Maven Lifestyle by Aakansha

Being a Holistic Health Coach has some amazing perks and one of those is “awareness”.

Awareness of what ingredients are poisonous for our body, what ingredients we’re addicted to, what the big food companies are doing to make profit and the bitter intentions of the Pharma industry. I challenged myself to go off of refined sugar in Febrauary 2019 and I believe the Universe awarded me with introduction to a Raw Vegan Dessert workshop with two amazing Raw Vegan Chefs. This workshop opened my eyes to the miracles that can be created if we are just a little bit open & ready for change.

Would you believe me if I tell you that I could make extremely yummy Raw Vegan Chocolate Ganche Cake (picture below) without dairy, egg & refined sugar?

If you cannot, then you need to widen your horizon and attend this workshop to know what I’m talking about. It’s very much possible to make healthy desserts with low glycemic index ingredients which means that your blood sugar won’t spike up after you eat them! In fact the ingredients used are SUPERFOODS so they are meant to heal your system.

Also, know that these were so rich with good quality ingredients that you’d have to struggle to eat up one entire cookie! YES!

Ever wondered HOW you can finish a box of cookies from the supermarket?

It’s because those cookies are made up of low quality ingredients with a high glycemic index which only spike up your blood sugar but don’t give you a feeling of satiety. Oh & they have multiple addictive ingredients like refined sugar and it’s various other variations that make you unable to stop munching.

This shit is really messed up folks, don’t fall for it!

These raw vegan desserts by the way  were left in a dehydrator and not cooked/baked at high temperatures. This means that all the nutrients from these super healthy ingredients were intact!!! These desserts are so healthy that they hold the potential of healing your gut and balancing your hormones! This is for real folks!

Here’s a lovely bunch of desserts I learnt to bake in this raw vegan dessert workshop ->

Chocolate Truffles

Ice Cream Cones

Banana Pancakes

Choco Chip Cookies

Chocolate Goji Bark

Chocolate Ganache Cake

Caramel Apples

Orange Cupcakes

Chocolate Cloud Brownie

Chocolate, Vanilla & Strawberry Ice Cream

Art Exhibitition in Dubai, UAE

My adulation for art kicked in a bit late in life. Growing up, my mother ensured that my brother & I are exposed to a multitude of co-curricular activities which is why for 2 consecutive years, we had an Arts teacher coming home every single day to teach us the craft of painting. We (my brother & I) may not have picked up something indispensible from that lovely teacher (back in the day) but I believe it left a deep sense of respect for Art in us.

My interest for Art actually triggered when the husband & I were on a (Royal Caribbean) cruise in January 2018. The ship was full of extremely heart-warming paintings that the husband & I gazed at for hours… I still remember the impact those paintings left on my soul and of late, when I found out about an Art Exhibition in Dubai’s Financial Centre, the rapidly growing (Art) enthusiast in me craved to give this opportunity a go! A big shout out to my sister-in-law PINK who enlightened me with this event’s whereabouts 😀

Please find snippets from this event below which were captured by my one & only, hubs bubs 🙂
